Saves millions on relocation
Lindorff relocates from Skøyen to Helsfyr. This saves the company 10 to 11 million. Recently, there has been an enormous focus on soaring rental prices of office premises in Oslo. Experts predict records of over 3.000 Norwegian kroner per square meter in prestigious areas such as Vika and Aker Brygge. But such high rentals are far from the norm for most businesses in the Oslo area. Work-intensive companies that do not boast high profitability per employee, are hunting for far cheaper premises.

Open office solutions, great or not?
It started with consultancies and oil companies, then Posten, Petoro and currently government and local corporations; they have all shown the desire to change the office space solutions. Many are inspired by wireless, open-plan offices, without regular seats. But is this really a good idea?
Certain surveys carried out by ROM demonstrate that the individual efficiency decreases in open-plan offices due to the lack of concentration. ROM also carried out surveys among the Telenor management shortly after their change.

High return on property
Norwegian properties gave a return of whopping 17,6 per cent last year. Best of all was the development in the office market.
Those that have been sitting on commercial properties the latest years, have been able to enjoy a solid appreciation. Last year, the return on property was the highest since IPD Norwegian Property index started to follow the market seven years back. Norwegian properties gave their owners a return of 17,6 per cent last year.
